Coverfly hands out badges to projects when their rank crosses certain thresholds within their genre, format, and overall ranking. Badges never disappear--once a writer has acquired a badge for a project, they will always possess the badge, even if their project's Coverfly rank decreases.

Only discoverable projects can acquire badges. Once a badge has been acquired, setting a project to "private" will not cause a project to lose a badge.
Writers can toggle the visibility of badges on their project page. Badges set to invisible won't appear on their project page or elsewhere (except to the owner of the badge). Badges are visible by default.
If we decide to add additional badges in the future, they will not be applied retroactively to projects that may have earned them in the past.
Badges are not available for "Television" projects that don't specify their length. TV projects must be classified as either "Television (Half-hour)" or "Television (One-hour)".
